OVERVIEW

There are a few different attacking formations, and all are used in a typical attack.

4 - 0

This is the basic formation that all attacks should start from. Typically players will be set up in a diamond formation, with one player behind the post, one at either side, and one in front of the post. It is recommended that the players alternate M/F/M/F. When a player has the ball, the two players either side should be looking for the pass. They do this by first "pushing" their player back towards the post (the defender will naturally back up to there - if they don't they leave you open for a free shot). This should They then veer out to the side and receive the pass in space, with little chance of interception. If timed well, you should be pushing your player backwards roughly as the player opposite has the ball. The player will pass, then you move outwards to receive the pass. Done will this should run like clockwork! It is also worth noting that when passing, you form the perfect opportunity to run into the collect or feed positions, and set up for that killer attack!

3 - 1

3 players out and one person in collect. This is just when there is no feed and either a side feed will be used, or a long shot taken. Note that it's important to have that collect though!!

2 - 2

This refers to a typical attack formation. You will have 2 players "in"; one in collect and one in the feed position. The other two players will be "out", with each player aiming to find space to shoot a long shot, or to make a running in shot.
