There are no longer any restrictions on playing the full game of Korfball indoors. However there are still some lingering guidance that we will be adhering to. Please find below the current interpretation of this. If you have any questions, please speak to our Covid Officer - Chris (BristolCityKorfball@gmail.com).
Following guidance of other sports providers please be advised of the following important aspects if you intend to join us:
(Self Assessment) Do not attend if you are symptomatic of Covid-19, tested positive or been asked to self isolate by NHS Test and Trace. Or if any member of your household is symptomatic or positive. You do not need to complete a screening form.
(Informed decision) Please be aware of the risks of Covid-19 to you and your household before attending. Seek further advice if in doubt.
If an individual tests positive and attended a korfball activity within the 48 hours prior and normal rules are used, it is highly likely that contact tracers will identify all other players on the court, coaches and officials as close contacts and they will need to self-isolate for 10 days.
It is recommended that you check-in to City Academy with the NHS App and wear a mask in the entrance and hallway.
We will continue to sanitise at the beginning of the session and at regular intervals throughout.
Apart from the above we do intend on proceeding as normal after 16 long months, but the absolute most important thing is do not come if you even think you might have it!!!!
Also remember that city academy gets very hot in the summer so please bring plenty of water. There’s still no sharing of water bottles and the fountains are often broken.
